Municipal and Industrial (M&I) Water Use Forecast, Initial CERP Update (ICU)
Final Report - August 2003
The Municipal and Industrial Water Use Forecast Report (August, 2003) uses updated 2000 Census data, Bureau of Economic and Business Research projections and a computer model called IWR-Main to update population and water use projections for portions of South Florida through 2050.
This information is required as input to the South Florida Water Management Model (SFWMM), which simulates movement and management of water in portions of nine southeastern Florida counties. The updated population and water use projections, along with other new data and improvements to the SFWMM, will be used to provide an updated simulation of CERP performance. Ultimately, this new information will allow adaptive management and refinement of the CERP.
