The Quality Assurance Oversight Team (QAOT) was formed as required under CERP Guidance Memorandum (CGM) 041.00, which was adopted in November 19, 2003 by the Design Coordination Team (DCT). The QAOT is responsible for providing guidance and oversight on quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) issues for CERP projects and CERP system.  Organizationally, the QAOT reports to the DCT. To ensure that QA/QC processes provide quality and defensible environmental data, the Quality Assurance Systems Requirements (QASR) manual was created.

The QAOT is a multi-agency team comprised of four to six standing members. The lead agencies are the Army Corps of Engineers and the South Florida Water Management District. Representatives from the following agencies are serving as standing members:
