The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District is developing a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Central Everglades Planning Project. Two public meetings have been scheduled to give all interested individuals, groups and agencies an opportunity to comment and ask questions. The goal of the Central Everglades Planning Project is to deliver, in two years, a suite of restoration projects in the central Everglades ready for congressional authorization as part of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP).
