Lake Okeechobee Regulation Schedule Study (LORSS) Public Meeting

The public is invited to attend one of three public workshops on the Lake Okeechobee Regulation Schedule Study (LORSS). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District will host the workshops and present a tentatively selected plan to revise the operations management of Lake Okeechobee.

All interested parties will be given an opportunity to comment and ask questions. The workshops build on a series of meetings held last fall that began the study process by soliciting public input regarding the existing regulation schedule and suggestions for improvements. Dates and locations are as follows:

September 13, 2006 - Okeechobee, FL
September 14, 2006 - Ft. Myers, FL
September 18, 2006 - Clewiston, FL
