Public Meeting

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, will hold a public workshop on the Water Conservation Area 3 Decompatmentalization and Sheetflow Enhancement Project or "DECOMP". The DECOMP project is considered to be the heart of Everglades restoration. The purpose of the project is to remove barriers to sheetflow in Water Conservation Area 3. At the meeting, information will be presented on the adaptive management physical model, a large-scale, on-site, ecological field test in the Everglades that will guide the complex DECOMP restoration design.
