The public is invited to participate in a workshop conducted by the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regarding restoration activities required by the Programmatic Regulations for the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP). The Programmatic Regulations establish the framework for guiding CERP implementation. The Programmatic Regulations, which became effective in December 2003, require the development of Guidance Memoranda and other documents including Interim Goals and Targets, the Pre-CERP Baseline, and the Master Implementation Sequencing Plan (MISP). The purpose of the workshop is to provide both an overview on these topics as well as information regarding the processes the agencies will use to develop documents and carry out implementing activities. The meeting will also be broadcast live on the Internet at the following web address: http://mfile.akamai.com/6682/live/reflector:22982.ram Read the News Release. |
