Authorized
Legislative action providing project authorization, usually in the form of a Water Resources Development Act (WRDA). Specifically authorizes the project for construction once signed into law by the President of the United States.
Comprehensive Plan Designation
Designations given to specific components of the Central and Southern Florida Comprehensive Review Study Final Integrated Feasibility Report and Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement April 1999.
Design Agreement
A legally binding agreement between the Federal government and a non-Federal entity that recites items of local cooperation and the cost sharing requirements necessary for the Federal government to undertake activities during the Pre-Construction Engineering and Design (PED) phase of a water resources project. This field reflects the date the agreement was executed.
Project Cooperation Agreement
(PCA) is a legally binding agreement between the Federal government and a non-Federal entity that recites items of local cooperation and the cost sharing requirements necessary for the Federal government to undertake water resources projects. This field reflects the date the agreement was executed.
Project Description
A general description of the project.
Project End Date
Construction completion date, unless otherwise stated.
Project Managers
Each project is co-managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Project Sponsor. At this time the only sponsor is the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD).
Project Name
A specific project identified in the latest CERP Master Implementation Schedule, typically derived from the components identified in the Central and Southern Florida Comprehensive Review Study Final Integrated Feasibility Report and Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement April 1999.
Project Phase
  1. Pre-Construction, Engineering and Design (PED) - Project Implementation Report (PIR), Detailed Design, and Plans and Specifications
  2. Construction - construction, Construction Management, and Real Estate Acquisition
  3. Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
Project Sponsor
Governmental entity partnering with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to jointly execute this project as part of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Program (CERP); can be the South Florida Water Management District, a State of Florida Agency, a local government within the state of Florida or Tribal Government.
Project Start Date
The beginning of the Pre-Construction Engineering and Design Phase.
Regions
A designation assigned to specific geographic areas of South Florida for the purpose of managing the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Program.
