Program Management Plan
September 2001

The Equity Program Management Plan deals with program-level subjects such as ensuring that CERP economic opportunities are provided to all citizens of South Florida or that socio-economic data utilized in CERP activities is relevant, standard and of high quality. The Equity Plan was finalized in August 2001, after an extensive public comment period. The Plan covers a five-year period from 2001 - 2006 and costs approximately $6 million dollars.
The goals of the Equity Plan are to provide for:
- the inclusion of all people of South Florida in CERP development and implementation,
- increased employment and contracting opportunities for people and businesses of South Florida,
- open public participation in the CERP decision-making process,
- careful and on-going consideration of and attention to potential environmental justice issues, and
- utilization of relevant and timely socio-economic assessments, data, research and methods.
The Equity Program Management Plan describes these goals, and defines the general scope, schedules, costs, tasks, products and funding to achieve each.
